Concealed inside a guest’s sweatshirt, possibly sedated, the cat remained undetected through security checks. However, his presence was eventually discovered, leading to a complex situation.
As the cat was not permitted to disembark in Australia or New Zealand due to stringent animal control regulations, he faced a grim fate.
But, in a heartwarming turn of events, the cruise ship’s guest service team intervened.
After weeks of negotiations and careful planning, they managed to transport the cat across the globe to Miami.
There, one of the team members welcomed him into their home, offering him a loving and permanent residence and naming him Ovie following her adventure on Ovation of the Seas.
